Aughtersons has an excellent reputation in the greater eastern region not only for the high quality and standard of legal services the firm provides but also for their support and voluntary involvement in many community activities.

Aughtersons are strong supporters of Legacy Australia Inc. and particularly the local branch being the Yarra Valley Group of Melbourne Legacy.

Legacy is of course an organisation dedicated to assist the widows and dependents of sailors, soldiers and airmen who died in the service of Australia.

Peter Milford, (who was himself helped by Legacy as a child), is a long-serving Legatee and Past President of this Group. Many of you would have seen Peter collecting money for Legacy at Eastland each Legacy Week.

Peter Milford is an active member and past President of the Ringwood Chamber of Commerce & Industry which organisation has been representing the interests of commerce in Ringwood since 1992.

Solicitor Phoebe Blank is the current secretary of the Chamber. Phoebe is the daughter of the late Louis Blank – along with Peter, a Life Member of the Chamber of Commerce.

Aughtersons host a Biggest Morning Tea each year in support of the Cancer Council funding research to find a cure to cancer.

Aughtersons Staff supporting Maroondah Relay for Life. Relay for Life is a community event honouring survivors and carers who have been directly affected by cancer.

Our senior Property Lawyer, Gordon Jacobs is a long-standing Board Member and Vice President of the Alkira Centre, Box Hill. Alkira is a community organisation supporting adults with an intellectual disability.

Gordon has served for many years as a Referee for a disabled basketball competition and currently assists the Victorian Blind Cricket Association in umpiring blind cricket matches most Saturdays over summer.
