Peter joined the firm in 1980, became a partner in 1982 and a Director of Aughtersons from August 2014 to January 2019. Peter possesses a great interest in social issues emanating from his role as a Family Lawyer. He is a former Deputy Registrar of the Family Court and has practised almost exclusively in the Family Law and De Facto Law area for the past 40 years.
Peter continues to mentor our Family Law team, drawing on his vast experience in all forms of matrimonial work, with particular emphasis on attempting to settle matters as amicably and cost effectively as possible

Apart from family, community affairs and Amateur Football, Peter enjoys playing tennis once or twice a week, spending time at his family home at Mornington (especially on the beach) and scouring Camberwell Market each Sunday morning in search of old enamel membership medallions and badges which he collects.
