Peter Charles Milford

Mentor

Peter joined the firm in 1980, became a partner in 1982 and a Director of Aughtersons from August 2014 to January 2019.  Peter possesses a great interest in social issues emanating from his role as a Family Lawyer.  He is a former Deputy Registrar of the Family Court and has practised almost exclusively in the Family Law and De Facto Law area for the past 40 years. 

Peter continues to mentor our Family Law team, drawing on his vast experience in all forms of matrimonial work, with particular emphasis on attempting to settle matters as amicably and cost effectively as possible

Peter is also:

• A Legatee with and past President of the Yarra Valley Group of Melbourne Legacy Inc.
• Past President and Life Member of the Ringwood Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc.
• Currently Secretary of the ‘Friends of Candlebark Walk’ group in Croydon Hills.
• A Life Member and strong supporter of Collegians Football Club in Premier Section of the Victorian Amateur Football Association.

Qualifications

LLB, B.Ec (Monash)

Apart from family, community affairs and Amateur Football, Peter enjoys playing tennis once or twice a week, spending time at his family home at Mornington (especially on the beach) and scouring Camberwell Market each Sunday morning in search of old enamel membership medallions and badges which he collects.
